Ten years ago, I left New Zealand with nothing but a dream and a deep pull toward the wild. That dream carried me to South Africa, where I trained as a safari guide and spent years exploring the vast landscapes and hidden corners of Africa. In that time, Africa became more than a place, it became my teacher. The wilderness revealed strength I didn’t know I had, softened me in ways I didn’t expect, and completely reshaped how I see the world and myself.
herSAFARI exists because I believe in the power of women in the wild. After years of guiding in Africa, I saw how deeply safaris can transform women, especially those who travel solo or with other women. I wanted to create a space where any woman, no matter her age or story, could safely and confidently say yes to her dream of Africa!
Today, I help women design personalised, soul-led safaris crafted just for them. And soon, I’ll be hosting herSAFARI group journeys for women who want to experience the magic together.
This is my way of bringing connection, joy, belonging, and wild-hearted adventure back into women’s lives - one safari at a time, because Africa has a way of leaving its imprint on you, and I believe every woman should have the chance to experience that magic for herself.
